What wine to please your Easter guests with?
And who will please the Easter guests with wine?
Easter is a time of joy and abundance, when we meet with those closest to us - family and friends. Good wine is an integral part of the festive atmosphere. But what kind of wine should you offer your visitors so that, along with the rich offer of treats, you can also pamper their senses with excellent wine?
It's important to know your guests' preferences. Do they prefer white, rosé or red wines? Do they like dry, semi-dry or sweet wines? If you're not sure, it's best to ask in advance. This will help you avoid disappointment.
Traditional Easter dishes are mostly meaty, which goes well with a full-flavored red wine. A good choice is Cabernet Sauvignon or Dunaj, but certainly also Frankovka modrá. If they prefer white wine, try Műller Thurgau, Rizling vlašský or novošláchtenec Devín. Well-chilled rosé wine is a universal choice that will satisfy even the most demanding visitor. A raisin selection or ice wine is a good partner for sweet dishes and desserts.
Don't forget the right wine temperature and the right glass. The ideal serving temperature is often listed on the label. In general, white wines should be served at around 8-10°C, red wines around 16-18°C. Chill rosé and sparkling wines to 6-8°C. With these tips, you're sure to choose a wine that your guests will enjoy and make their Easter holidays more enjoyable.
