WINE AND CHEESE, A ROYAL COMBINATION
When drinking wine, almost all of us feel like eating something small and tasty. Instead of chips, we recommend different types of cheese. According to several experts, this supports the way we like wine. Depending on the type of cheese we eat, we also choose the type of wine. A French study showed that cheese consumption had an impact on the description of the taste for all types of wine and in most cases it influenced their preference. However, none of the cheeses caused the loss of taste for wine.
It was found that cheeses reduced the duration of bitterness dominance and increased its aromaticity in red wines. In sweet white wines, the duration of sweetness dominance did not change even after cheese consumption, but in dry white wines, cheese had a major impact mainly on aroma.
