Our rosé wines won gold medals. And again in Paris

After two gold medals at the Vinalies Internationales Paris 2022 competition, the wines from Villa Vino Rača scored again. This time we won two gold medals at the Vinalies Mondial du Rosé competition focused on rosé wines. The gold medals went to Villa Vino Rača – Palugyay Blaufränkisch rosé Straw Wine 2018 and Villa Vino Rača – Palugyay Blaufränkisch rosé Ice Wine 2018.

Vinalies Mondial du Rosé is one of the most prestigious rosé wine competitions. The first edition was held 18 years ago. Almost a thousand wines from 26 countries took part in the Paris competition. Slovakia was represented by 49 rosé wines. Of these, 15 won medals. Slovak wines took home 6 gold and 9 silver medals.

The popularity of rosé wines grows year by year. Over the past twenty years, rosé wine consumption has increased by more than 20%. France is the world leader in rosé wine production, with 30% of global rosé output coming from the land of the Gallic Rooster.
