Palugyay Tramín červený 2018 wins gold at CMB 2026

Palugyay Tramín červený Ice Wine with its Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2026 gold medal.

Palugyay Tramín červený Ice Wine 2018 has won a gold medal at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2026. Our Slovak ice wine received the award at the competition’s Sweet and Fortified Wine Session, held from 9 to 11 October in Thuir, France.

The judges assessed 417 wines at this session in Roussillon, southern France. The organiser published the results on 20 October. The official entry lists the wine under its Slovak name, Palugyay Tramín červený 2018.

Ice wine from the Little Carpathians

Palugyay Tramín červený Ice Wine 2018 is a sweet white wine from Slovakia’s Little Carpathian wine region. It has a golden-yellow colour, aromas of rosehip blossom and yellow melon, and a sweet, supple palate. We recommend serving it at 10 to 12 °C.

The competition’s tasting profile also describes honey and orange peel on the nose, with apricot and refreshing acidity on the palate.

The designation ice wine refers to how it is made. Our earlier article explains the method and the same vintage’s National White Wine Champion 2026 title, awarded at Vinař roku České republiky 2026 in the Czech Republic.
