Oenoforum 2026: four golds and a category win for Villa Vino Rača

At the Oenoforum 2026 international wine competition in Znojmo we won four gold medals. Our Trilógia Cuvée rosé 2025 went one step further and won its whole category, and gold also went to our Račianska frankovka (Blaufränkisch), Welschriesling and Gewürztraminer ice wine.

Oenoforum (Czech International Wine Competition) is one of the most respected wine competitions in Central Europe. Judging follows OIV standards, and the panel brings together tasters from several countries, representatives of OIV and UIOE, and judges from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is organised by the Czech Winegrowers' Union and the National Wine Centre, and this year it ran on 18 and 19 June in Znojmo. More about the competition at oenoforum.cz.

The awarded wines

Trilógia Cuvée rosé 2025, gold and category winner

An off-dry rosé with a bright pink colour, juicy palate and a clear aroma of small red fruit. Our youngest rosé and the highlight of this year. Find Trilógia Cuvée rosé among our rosé wines.

Exclusive Račianska frankovka 2021 (Blaufränkisch), gold

A dry quality varietal wine of the typical Rača terroir: harmonious, with notes of cinnamon, small berries and plum, and a firm structure. Račianska frankovka is the only frankovka in Slovakia with its own PDO. See our other Blaufränkisch wines from Rača.

Exclusive Welschriesling 2024, gold

Late harvest, dry. Built on freshness and minerality, with a clean varietal character, fruit notes and a gentle floral undertone. Welschriesling Exclusive is one of our white wines.

Palugyay Gewürztraminer 2018, gold

Ice wine, sweet. A wine for those who like concentration: an intense honey aroma with notes of dried apricot. Palugyay Gewürztraminer ice wine.

About the competition

Oenoforum includes an expert seminar every year. This year it focused on Riesling and where the variety is heading, with a guided tasting of more than 20 samples from the traditional regions of Germany and Austria, looking at growing, winemaking and style.
