Higher Slovak Quality Mark grade for two of our wines

Exclusive Grüner Veltliner and Imperial Blaufränkisch rosé have been upgraded to the second grade of Slovakia’s Značka kvality, or Quality Mark. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic awarded it on 29 July 2026.
Both wines come from Villa Vino Rača, our winery in the Rača district of Bratislava.
What the second grade means
An expert committee recommends the second grade for products with quality characteristics assessed as above the standard of similar products on the market. This is how the Quality Mark programme defines the grade.
Decision 15848/2026 allows us to use the second-grade logo until 29 July 2029.
The two wines upgraded
The second-grade award covers these two wines in 0.75-litre bottles:
- Exclusive Grüner Veltliner, a late harvest white wine, listed in the decision as Veltlínske zelené.
- Imperial Blaufränkisch rosé, a late harvest rosé, listed as Frankovka modrá rosé.
The decision does not specify a vintage. Each product page gives the description and details of the wine currently offered.
First-grade awards
Five other wines hold the first-grade Quality Mark:
- Blaufränkisch from Rača.
- Gewürztraminer, grape selection.
- Riesling, late harvest.
- Chardonnay, late harvest.
- Müller Thurgau, late harvest.
The official Quality Mark register lists their awards as valid until 29 July 2029.
